Works to cover the track at the Sants Railway Station will result in the cancellation of all trains between Sants, L’Hospitalet and Bellvitge from the 4 to 27 August. To assist users during this period, notices indicating alternative services are already on display at the various stations, uniformed staff are available to give advice, and the platforms have been clearly marked with directional arrows. The local police have also implemented a plan to ensure traffic flow around Sants Station, which has buses leaving for the airport every 15 minutes.

This unprecedented disruption of rail traffic at the southern end of the city, which will affect some 150,000 journeys a day, will require users of local and regional services to use the metro or the Catalan rail network to reach the city centre.
Barcelona has therefore implemented an alternative transport plan (PAT) to ensure that users are informed and alternative services are provided.
The local police will ensure smooth traffic flow around Sants Station, which has buses leaving for the airport every 15 minutes.
Regional and long distance lines
Regional train services entering Barcelona from the south will also be affected to some degree. For example, the R13, R14, R15 and R16 trains will be rerouted through Vilafranca del Penedès and terminate at L’Hospitalet, where users will be able to take the L1 metro line onwards to Barcelona.
Additionally, the R12 train, which serves the northern area between Lleida and L’Hospitalet via Manresa, will terminate at Sants.
