The integrated fare system is launched in Camp de Tarragona (08/10/2008)

On October 1st the Territorial Transit Authority (ATM) of Camp de Tarragona launched the new Camp de Tarragona public transport integrated fare system, which allows users to transfer from one mode of transportation to another using the same ticket.

• Initially the T-MES card will be used, with the remaining smart card fare options gradually added in later.
• The integration of the Camp de Tarragona transport system is designed to unify fares for trips in 5 zones which include 131 towns and cities.
• 18 million users are expected to benefit from significant savings brought about by the implementation of the new system.
• Tarragona will now join Barcelona, Lleida and Gerona in the implementation of integrated transport fare systems.
