Highlights

The Department of Territorial Policy and Public Works has implemented three initiatives to improve public transport in Camp de Tarragona. The goal is to provide faster, sustainable connections between the different municipalities in the area. The improvements, which represent a total investment of more than €95,700 in 2009, are the following:

- Two new express bus lines have been added from the Tarragona bus station, which take advantage of faster roadways thereby reducing the number of intermediate stops and improving inter-modal transport use with the Camp de Tarragona high-speed train station. These new lines connect:

o Salou – Vila-seca – Tarragona
o Cambrils – Tarragona

- A new on-demand line has been introduced bringing the municipality of Renau into the public transport network which connects with Tarragona.
